KIA Motors’s latest Dubai Showroom, located off Sheikh Zayed Road, is a design that exemplifies the motor brand’s contemporary style. The project consists of both a showroom as well as a workshop and uses expansive glass panels to create stunning, crisp, and clean curtain walls all throughout the façade design, in close coordination to the client’s requests. Large, bold, red, solid frames give a great minimalist yet grand entrance into the showroom, against the continuous transparent façade that extends from the ground past the mezzanine and first levels till the roof parapet, which is defined again by KIA’s brand red color and caps the building design. Internally, the free plan of the project allows for flexibility to the client’s needs as regular shifts in the arrangement are common in such a scheme based on brand development or marketing campaigns for presenting the products. The showroom design is a testament to DAR’s ability to create flexible, multifunctional spaces for the ever-shifting needs of a client.
