Dubai American Academy is a private, full-scale, K-12 school campus located in Al Barsha neighborhood and down the road from Mall of the Emirates. The overall aesthetic of the school is quite minimalist and monolithic, using two primary colors in its palette across the façade. The school form is designed in a centralized and symmetrical formation and begins with the main entrance, leading students into the main administrative facilities. The entry and lobby guide students to the centralized corridors that run across the entire campus. Along these corridors, pockets of communal student spaces break up the continuous lines of classrooms. Skylights help bring natural sunlight into the hallways and communal areas throughout the project. The facility offers extensive amenities including assembly halls, dining halls, a variety of sports courts and sports lawn. The school and its facility were a benchmark in private education for Dubai in its early years of being completed.
