The Ghurair Gold Refinery is situated directly behind the Jumeirah Lakes Towers neighborhood. The project is a processing complex for gold, and as such, decadence is its cadence. The building is designed in the form of a U-shape and spans two floors. The U-shaped form allows for a beautiful promenade driveway to be situated in the center, with greenery and a water fountain feature adding drama to the entrance. The entrance uses a double height volume with a dome to greet those who enter. The architectural style of the building is primarily classical, using a variety of traditional details for crown moldings, linings, window boundaries, and columns. The windows are covered with screens designed in an abstract Mediterranean pattern style and provide shading as well as security to the facility. The facility, though exceptionally secluded from the public, is as traditionally decedent as the fine metals it processes.
