The home of Emaar Properties, Emaar Square is a defining project for its brand. The project consists of two clusters of office buildings, three buildings in each set. The clusters are organized in a U-shaped formation to create grand internal landscaped spaces for the users. Both of the clusters are opposite of one another and offset to align at the end of each, forming an S shape. They are connected by pedestrian bridges that cross above the main road of the area. The landscaping is designed flexibly to accommodate outdoor functions, seating areas, as well as water bodies. The façade of the buildings is quite modern in style, with aluminum screens featuring abstract pattern arrays based off traditional Emirati ornamentation. These screens are used both decoratively as well as to shade the office interiors. The campus-like format is fitting and appropriate for the scale of the company, whose portfolio covers six divisions and has a worldwide presence spanning 36 different markets.
