Resort at the World Island

Status: Proposal, January, 2016 | Built Up Area: 59,200 ft²

The Resort at the World Islands is proposed to add to the ultra-luxury experience of the island development. Inspired by the master planning of Anantara in the Maldives, the approach of this proposal was to create an amenity-rich and secluded retreat-like experiences through the design. Individual bungalows line the outer edges of the island while an array of water villas ranging from 1-2 bedrooms span off the north and south sides of the island coast. Every single suite is equipped with private pools and seaside views, with direct access to the beach. The material aesthetics of the project are especially reminiscent of Caribbean tropical islands; however, the interior details use the most contemporary product shapes and arrangements. The resort design exemplifies the definition of retreat and would genuinely contribute to the world-class facilities Dubai is known for.
